One
of the most important forms of remittance is the transfer of human capital.
Many migrants arrive in the host country as unskilled workers but are able to
benefit through training and experience during their employment, enabling them
not only to earn a higher salary and therefore increase the amounts they are
able to remit, but also to return home and obtain higher earnings than when
they left. Such capacity building is highly beneficial and provides an indirect
but crucial contribution to remittance benefits.
