Role and effect of quota system of BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service Commission):

The existing 55% of non merit quota in Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) violates the Article-29 of our constitution which speaks only about under-privileged group. But quota for women is not included in under-privileged group.

The Secretariat System of Bangladesh

Advancement of Education System- Democracy

It is gratifying to that Bangladesh has much headway in expanding coverage access to basic education with a view to building a knowledge-based society. For the first time in its history more that 98 percent of the children have started going to school. Gender parity in primary enrollment is almost a reality now.

Problems of Democracy- Fragile Local Government System

Autonomous local government is one of the most vital institutions of democratic governance. Modern democracy is almost unthinkable without devolution of power to the local governments. Due to increase of population as well as to huge expansion of governmental activities certain matter of policy and administration concerning national and international interests as are reserved for central administration and the rest wide range of governmental functions are vested in local authorities .

CFS PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SYSTEM

The central feature of the company's performance appraisal system was an annual interview. Managers were expected to sit down with each of their employees at least once a year (or more often if appropri­ate) and review their performance. The company had recently intro­duced a new form to facilitate planning and conducting these inter­views. (See Exhibit 9-2.) These forms were to be filled out in advance by the person conducting the appraisal. During the interview, salary considerations for the coming year were to be discussed and the deci­sion about the employee's raise communicated. Copies of the form were to be signed by the employee after the performance appraisal in­terview as an indication that he or she had seen the appraisal.

Christianity and Islam: Christianity, an Implicit Impetus of International System

Christianity, being the second largest religion has implicitly influence international politics through its norms and customs at the name of secularism. Several prominent scholars have identified secularism as a set of norms and behaviors derived from one or more than one version of Christianity. Christian driven concepts like, secularism, democracy, capitalism are in the centre of administration and economy of most of the countries for last four hundred years. Therefore, the expansion and application of these ideas can be thought as the validation and intensification of Christianity, Christian norms and rules. Direct connection between church and state is not noticeable, although in USA and Germany religious involvement has increased to some extent.

However, the implicit features of Christianity which have dominant role in international level are:

Nation State Affairs of Westphalia System

At present, there are 195 independent states in the world. Among them only 11 states are recognized as theocratic of which nine states are Islamic, one is Christian and another in Jewish.

Islamic theocracy is divided between monarchy and republic. Monarchies sometimes concern more on intensifying their regime rather than on Sariah. Vatican, the only Christian theocracy does not operate all usual and customary activities. This state is confined within spiritual and ceremonial affairs of Christianity and act as the praiseworthy guide of Catholic Christians. The State of Israel with Jewish majority is deemed as the only real theocracy, while the West akin to expose her as democratic.
