Promotional Process and Exam in BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service)



 The subjects for promotion examination cover three areas:

 Part 1: Bangladesh and current affairs
Part 2: Acts rules and systems applicable in use of all officers of BCS;
Part 3: Matters relating to works of respective cadres
Full marks: 30
Pass marks: 50%



Edibility criteria:

Any officer who has not completed four years of service and who is confirmed in the junior scale is ineligible to appear.
In every calendar year, senior scale examination is held two times in February and August.
An officer can participate in two examinations in every calendar year.
An officer can participate more than once in the same calendar year.
An officer who has completed 14 years of service can not appear at the promotion examination.
